    • Electric, Data, and Gas
  • Optional monitor mount – Up to 32" monitor not to exceed 23.6 lbs.

The HarmonyAIR Utility Hub is a customizable unit for routing electricity, video and data, and a limited number of medical gasses to the operative site while reducing the number of wall plates needed and the routing of cords and wires on the floor. The HarmonyAIR Utility Hub is designed with cost in mind to help solve the needs of the operating room (OR), combining power and video connectivity and equipment management system (EMS) features.

How the HarmonyAIR Utility Hub Works

A hybrid of the current ConnectPoint and EMS offerings, the HarmonyAIR Utility Hub provides power, data/video signal, and gas connections from a flexible arm installed as a single mount or in tandem with a M- or G-Series surgical light. This allows surgical staff the ability to plug in video/data, gas, and electric components in their operating room (OR) and get the cords off the floor and out of the way.

Why the HarmonyAIR Utility Hub?

The HarmonyAIR Utility Hub can help to lower cost and increase efficiency in many ways.

  • Delivers connectivity features of a surgical boom at a lower price than a traditional supply head or equipment boom, negating the need for costly EMS products for minor/minimally invasive procedures.
  • Increases throughput by reducing the time needed to clean the OR between cases due to fewer cords routed on the floor, making it easier to maneuver equipment for cleaning.
  • Covers a wide arc within the sterile field due to the ceiling mounted arm, increasing visibility for surgeons and allowing them to address the toughest positioning challenges
  • Reduces the risk of running out of medical gases during a procedure by connecting directly to a gas port, eliminating the need for gas to be stored on a cart.
  • Able to integrate a monitor into the system, allowing OR staff to easily route scope images to a monitor
  • Provides video/data connectivity with approved configurations* of equipment that requires video and data connectivity or power, allowing signals to be seamlessly routed from the device to anywhere around the surgical field.
  • Offers a ceiling-mounted power receptacle, eliminating the need for equipment to be positioned near the wall outlet.

*Please note that routing gas through HarmonyAIR Utility Hub limits the amount of video/data that can be added. Currently, the only approved configuration for the video/data with gas option consists of cabling for two BDV IDSS guest ports or two Harmony iQ® universal ports, and one STERIS branded monitor.
