Product Overview
The Celerity Vaporized VH2O2 Process Indicator Adhesive Label, a Type 1 Process Indicator as defined by ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11140-1, is a vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization process chemical indicator and sterilization label. Easily distinguish between processed and unprocessed units when the sterilization indicator label is affixed to packs to be sterilized.
How the Celerity™ Vaporized VH2O2 Process Indicator Adhesive Label Works**
- Complete record keeping information on the chemical process indicator label (sterilization date, expiration date, quantity/contents, load number, operator initials)
- Remove the adhesive backing and place the sterilization label on the outside of the wrapped pack, or clear side of a pouch to be sterilized.
- Perform the sterilization cycle, and upon cycle completion, follow department procedure for load release.
- Confirmation of indicator performance should take place whenever the pack is forwarded to a new location, such as sterile storage or the Operating Room.
- If the color matches the orange/yellow color reference or is lighter, the indicator label shows a pass result. Follow department procedure for load release.
- If the color is magenta or any color other than orange/yellow, the indicator color does not meet the pass criteria as the indicator ink has not been exposed to the sterilization process or has failed to be exposed sufficiently to result in a passing condition. Follow department procedures for reporting sterilization failures.
