VERIFY^™ Incubator for Assert^™ Self-Contained Biological Indicators

The VERIFY Incubator for Assert Self-Contained Biological Indicators (SCBI) is a compact, tabletop incubator designed specifically for use with the VERIFY Assert SCBIs. The VERIFY Incubator heats the activated VERIFY Assert SCBIs to temperatures which promote metabolism and subsequent detection of viable test organisms under evaluation.

How the VERIFY Incubator for Assert SCBIs Works

The Incubator is designed to detect the presence or absence of a fluorescent signal upon incubation of the VERIFY Assert SCBIs. The VERIFY Incubator for Assert SCBI is designed to incubate and automatically read VERIFY Assert SCBIs at 57°C (134.6°F). Once initiated, each sample well will independently monitor and determine the result for an individual SCBI within 40 minutes. When a fluorescent response has been detected (or when the required incubation time has elapsed), the incubator indicates the results either by audible/visual means (growth response) or by visual means only (no growth result). The VERIFY Incubator helps to communicate results to the Sterile Processing Department via its LCD screen and LED lights.

The incubator may be connected to an optional printer to manage record keeping.
