PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The VERIFY STEAM Integrating Indicator verifies that critical steam sterilization parameters were met. Available in two sizes, the 2-inch Type 5 Integrating Indicator fits where other chemical indicators do not, and both sizes meet stringent performance requirements of the ANSI/AAMI/ISO chemical indicator standard 11140-1.
How VERIFY STEAM Integrating Indicators Work
When exposed to a steam sterilization cycle, steam penetrates the clear film cover and lowers the melting point of the specially formulated pellet. As the pellet melts, it soaks into the wicking paper and a bar travels along the strip. The rate at which the bar moves has been correlated to a biological indicator's kill time.
When the bar has traveled the length of the strip and enters the "ACCEPT (OK)" area, this serves as confirmation that all critical steam sterilization parameters have been met.
