Product Overview
The VERIFY SixCess Challenge packs are used to monitor steam sterilization loads. Each pack consists of a series of steam penetration and dynamic air removal barriers. A Type 6 Emulating Indicator, as defined by ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11140-1, is located in the center of the challenge pack.
How VERIFY SixCess Challenge Packs Work
Select the specific steam sterilization challenge pack that matches the cycle being used:
- For 270°F/132°C Prevacuum or Steam-flush-pressure-pulse (SFPP) for 4 minutes, use product number LCC003.
- For 275°F/135°C Prevacuum Steam Sterilization for 3 minutes, use product number LCC0014.
Next, place the test pack flat in the coldest location of the load chamber to steam sterilize. During processing, the sterilizer must remove or displace the air from the barrier material and replace it with steam throughout the pack. The challenge pack provides a total yellow to blue/purple color change to help eliminate the guesswork of tonal color changes.
