Product Overview
The AdvanCE capsule endoscope delivery device allows for direct endoscopic placement of video capsules in patients who are unable to swallow or pass the capsule through the pylorus. With the power of controlled video capsule endoscopy placement, the AdvanCE device helps minimize lost battery life spent in the esophagus or stomach and enables small intestinal surveillance in challenging capsule endoscopy candidates.
How the AdvanCE Capsule Endoscope Delivery Device works
The disposable capsule endoscopy delivery device is indicated for endoscopic placement of video capsules directly into the stomach or duodenum. Video capsule endoscopy facilitates patient diagnosis by enabling imaging of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract where traditional video endoscopy cannot reach, and can be used to evaluate multiple conditions, including hidden GI bleeding, inflammatory bowel diseases, diseases of malabsorption, tumors, vascular malformations, medication injury, and esophageal disease.
