Product Overview

The STERIS 5195 General Surgical Table builds on the trusted performance of the proven 5000-series platform, delivering what healthcare teams expect from a modern operating table. Designed as a next-generation replacement option for facilities utilizing legacy surgical tables, this advanced patient table supports minimally invasive, bariatric, vascular, gynecologic, urologic, and general surgical procedures.

New features, including visual status lighting, intuitive blue touchpoints, quick-connect head section technology, integrated shroud protection, and enhanced user interaction features, help simplify operation while addressing common service and usability challenges. Available with optional STERIS Patient Warming System pads, the 5195 delivers a refined surgical table experience that balances clinical precision, caregiver efficiency, and patient-focused care.

Expanded Positioning Capability for Demanding Procedures

The 5195 operating table is designed for facilities that require greater positioning flexibility and enhanced surgeon access across a broad spectrum of surgical specialties. Built on the heritage of the 5085 and 5095 platforms, the 5195 table offers a lower height range to support surgeon ergonomics while accommodating the positioning needs of minimally invasive, bariatric, general, vascular, gynecologic, and urologic procedures.

Its low-height design improves access during minimally invasive and bariatric procedures, while its robust construction and proven articulation capabilities provide the confidence required for complex patient positioning. Combined with excellent imaging access and compatibility with a broad portfolio of table accessories, the 5195 surgical table offers versatility without compromise.

The 5195 general surgical table can be configured with a variety of extensions and accessories, including dual-articulating headrests, featherweight leg sections, imaging accessories, pediatric extensions, and Patient Warming System pads, allowing facilities to tailor the table to their specific clinical requirements.

Precision Designed for the Modern OR

Quick-connect head section installation

Quick-Connect Head Section

The redesigned quick-connect head section allows caregivers to install or remove the headrest more efficiently while eliminating traditional thumb screw attachments. This streamlined design helps reduce setup time while improving ease of use throughout surgical procedures.

Single-handle headrest adjustment

Single-Handle Dual Articulating Headrest

The enhanced dual-articulating headrest allows anesthesia providers to adjust both tilt and height through a single control point, simplifying airway positioning and improving ergonomics during critical patient care activities.

Blue touchpoints highlighted on table extensions

Intuitive Blue Touchpoints

Strategically placed blue touchpoints provide visual guidance that helps users quickly identify engagement and adjustment locations. This intuitive interface improves workflow efficiency and promotes more confident operation across diverse OR teams.

Confidence Through Visibility and Protection

Status lighting visible across OR

Visual Status Lighting

Integrated status lighting provides clear visual confirmation of the table's locked status, allowing caregivers to quickly determine whether the table is locked or mobile from anywhere in the room. This enhanced visibility and improves operational confidence during patient transfer and positioning activities.

Integrated shroud protection detail

Integrated Shroud Protection

The 5195 table incorporates built-in shroud protection designed to help prevent damage from everyday OR activity. By reducing the likelihood of column damage, the system helps minimize service events, maximize uptime, and lower the total cost of ownership over the life of the table.

New hand control and clip

Improved Hand Control Design

The updated hand control and rounded clip design improve durability and visibility while keeping controls securely positioned for caregivers. By helping reduce accidental drops and damage, the enhanced design contributes to improved reliability and reduced maintenance costs.

Elevating Patient Care

The 5195 general surgical table is available with optional STERIS Patient Warming System (PWS) pads, helping support patient normothermia before, during, and after surgery. Integrated warming technology may enhance patient comfort while supporting perioperative warming protocols and clinical initiatives aimed at maintaining normothermia.

When combined with the table's advanced positioning capabilities, low-height functionality, and clinical versatility, the optional Patient Warming System helps create an environment focused on both caregiver efficiency and patient outcomes.
