How the VIA Procedure Kits work
The VIA Procedure Kit portfolio includes standardized infection control kits containing a mix of STERIS GI procedure products. These kits are designed to improve unit efficiencies through standardization, support adherence to infection prevention protocols, and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

The VIA Procedure Kit configurations feature a comprehensive selection of components, each aimed at enhancing clinical workflows and supporting compliance with infection control standards:
- Transport pad – A safe option to transport an endoscope to the reprocessing room after use
- Lubrication jelly – Available in 1.25 and 2oz. tube options
- 4x4 gauze pads – 10 included in each kit
- Enzymatic sponge and basin – The sponge helps remove bioburden while the basin holds the recommended amount of fluid for bedside pre-cleaning
- Biohazard sticker – Used for transporting hazardous items
- DEFENDO™ Single-Use Valve – 4-piece kit – Supports patient safety and adherence to industry guidelines, which require traceability with a specific endoscope
- DOUBLE HEADER™ Cleaning Brush – Features a channel brush at one end and premium valve/control head brush at the other
- DUOSWIFT™ Combination Squeegee Brush – Combines the cleaning benefits of a bristled brush and squeegee into one device
