How the Assurance Control Clip Works
Hemostasis medical clips are utilized for the treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding. The Assurance Control clip is part of the Assurance clip portfolio of devices indicated for endoscopic clip placement within the gastrointestinal tract for hemostasis, defect closure, endoscopic marking, and anchoring. The Assurance Control clip is a hemostasis clip with advanced control option, including the option to adjust the clip arms by rolling the catheter of the device at the biopsy port or by the assistant at the handle. The adjustable hemostasis clip is available in 11mm and 16mm options.

Why the Assurance Control Clip?
Physician-controlled adjustable hemostasis clips have been analyzed in publications such as Gastrointestinal Endoscopy1 as significant to clinicians. This clipping device has been specifically designed to provide functionality clinicians desire, including:
- Physician-controlled adjustment to enable accurate clip placement
- Ability to reposition before deployment
- Short tail (7mm), allowing the device to pass through a retroflexed scope
- One-step deployment with no hook protruding out of the catheter
- Available in opening widths of 11mm and 16mm
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Precaution: It is recommended that healthcare providers distribute Patient Implant Cards with the name of the clip and date it was placed.
Warning: Failure to follow the recommended MR Conditional labeling may result in a deployed GI hemoclip dislodging from tissue or heating of tissue at the GI hemoclip location. A GI hemoclip dislodgement may result in rebleeding requiring additional intervention or surgery, serious injury, or death.
