Product Overview

Revital-Ox^® RESERT^® High Level Disinfectant (HLD) is a high level disinfectant when used or reused undiluted for a maximum of 21 days at a minimum temperature of 20°C (68°F) for a minimum immersion time of 8 minutes. This high level disinfection solution is a ready-to-use option for devices for which alternative methods of terminal processing, including aldehyde [glutaraldehyde and ortho-phthalaldehyde (OPA)] solutions, are not suitable or available.

How Revital-Ox RESERT High Level Disinfectant Works

This hydrogen peroxide high level disinfectant is a ready-to-use liquid chemical germicide for use in both manual soaking and open architecture automated endoscope reprocessors. The product is a 2.0% nominal hydrogen peroxide solution with a minimum recommended concentration (MRC) of 1.5%. Revital-Ox RESERT HLD is intended to be used by health care practitioners in clinical settings as a ready-to-use liquid chemical disinfectant for the high level disinfection of semi-critical medical devices for which alternative methods of terminal processing are not suitable or available.

Revital-Ox^® RESERT^® R60 Solution Test Strip: The Revital-Ox RESERT R60 Solution Test Strip is a high level disinfectant concentration monitor dedicated for use with Revital-Ox™ RESERT™ High Level Disinfectant. The purpose of the Revital-Ox™ RESERT™ R60 Solution Test Strip is to determine whether the concentration of hydrogen peroxide, the active ingredient in Revital-Ox™ RESERT™ High Level Disinfectant, is above the minimum recommended concentration (MRC) of 1.5%.

How long can I use Revital-Ox RESERT High Level Disinfectant after opening?
After opening, the solution may be stored for use for up to 90 days (provided the 90 days do not extend past the expiration date on the container). When poured into a secondary container (i.e., basin), Revital-Ox RESERT HLD solution can be reused for up to 21 days or until its concentration falls below the minimum recommended concentration of 1.5% hydrogen peroxide. The MRC must be monitored before each use using the Revital-Ox™ Resert^® R60 Solution Test Strip.

What is the shelf life of Revital-Ox RESERT High Level Disinfectant?
This product has an 18-month shelf life and needs no special venting during use or storage.
