INTERCEPT™ Foam
- Thick foam encapsulates instruments and flexible endoscopes, pre-treating them for manual cleaning
- Maintains a moist environment, preventing organic debris from drying and hardening
- Simply rinse away when ready for manual cleaning
Product Overview
Enhance your point-of-use treatment of endoscopes with INTERCEPT Foam—the ready-to-use non-enzymatic, surfactant-based detergent formulation.
How INTERCEPT Foam Works
INTERCEPT Foam used in point-of-use processing helps keep endoscope surfaces moist and reduces the likelihood of debris from drying and hardening.
Intercept foam application has been demonstrated to allow successful cleaning of worst-case endoscopes after 72 hours of storage to equivalent or lower residual protein soil levels when compared to endoscopes soaking according to manufacturer’s instructions for delayed processing*.
Why INTERCEPT Foam?
- Thick foam encapsulates instruments and flexible endoscopes, preparing them for transport to the reprocessing space
- Maintains a moist environment, preventing organic debris from drying and hardening
- Reduces the potential for exposure to processing staff due to sloshing or spilling associated with the transport of liquid-filled presoak trays
- Loosens gross bioburden on endoscope surfaces
