VERIFY™ SixCess^® Extended Timing Challenge Pack

The VERIFY™ SixCess Extended Timing Challenge Pack contains a Type 6 Emulating Indicator, as defined by ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11140-1. This cycle specific test may be used to monitor steam sterilization cycles operating at 270 °F/132° C with exposure times of 4, 10, or 20 minutes.

How the VERIFY SixCess Extended Timing Challenge Pack Works

Record test cycle information on the outside of the VERIFY SixCess Extended Timing Challenge Pack:

• 270°F (132°C) Prevacuum exposure time of 4, 10, or 20 minutes
• 270°F (132°C) Steam-flush-pressure-pulse (SFPP) exposure time of 4 minutes

Next, place the pack flat in the loaded chamber at the coldest location. Upon completion of the cycle, remove the challenge pack and open to remove the indicator sheet. The indicator card will show a distinctive total color change from yellow to blue/purple.
