Behavioral Interviewing Tips

We believe past experiences and actions are the best prediction of your future successes. Thus, our interviewing approach is based on the widely used Behavioral Interviewing technique.

During a phone or in person interview, you will be asked to talk about your work and educational history. In addition, STERIS interviewers will ask you to share specific examples of things you experienced and what you did during the situation. These questions will be based on job related criteria, such as Customer focus, decision making, or planning and organizing.

 

Example question:

Describe a time when you faced conflicting priorities. How did you decide what was most important to work on?

TIP: When responding, you will want to share the specific situation or challenge, what you did, and the end result.
