STERIS Process^™ Biological Monitoring Kits

The STERIS Process Biological Monitoring Kits are for weekly microbial monitoring of the STERIS SYSTEM 1^® Processor, which is a liquid peracetic acid based sterile processing system. The biological indicators provide independent confirmation that sterilization conditions were present during the STERIS SYSTEM 1 sterile processing cycle. Each kit contains 20 biological indicators, 20 vials filled with growth medium, and 1 transfer clip for aseptic transfer of the indicator strip to the growth medium. Each indicator contains a known population of Geobacillus stearothermophilus (formerly Bacillus stearothermophilus) at established resistance levels. Growth medium is a tryptic soy broth with phenol red pH indicator.
