Vesta-Syde® Interim Instrument Decontamination System
The Vesta-Syde Interim Instrument Decontamination System represents a significant advance in instrument decontamination technology. The Vesta-Syde Interim Instrument Decontamination System is the first complete system formulated to provide interim decontamination of soiled surgical instruments and apparatus in the operating room and other areas where the instruments are being used. The two component system incorporates the latest technology available for pre-cleaning and decontaminating surgical instruments in the presence of 50% blood serum and hard water (400 ppm CaCo3). This innovative system provides the user with hands-off interim instrument decontamination technology, which results in a substantial reduction of exposure risk in processing surgical instruments.
Note: This product is not to be used as a final terminal sterilant/high level disinfectant on any surface or instrument that (1) is introduced directly into the human body, either into or in contact with the blood stream or normally sterile areas of the body, or (2) contacts intact mucous membranes, but which does not ordinarily penetrate the blood barrier or otherwise enter normally sterile areas of the body. These surfaces should be sterilized or high level disinfected as appropriate in separate subsequent steps.
