Pharmaceutical & Research Technical Consulting

The Pharmaceutical and Research Technical Service Group of STERIS Corporation is composed of an industry recognized team of chemists, microbiologists and engineers dedicated to helping manufacturing and research facilities keep their cleaning and microbial control programs in regulatory compliance while helping to increase productivity. Our technical service staff can supplement the support you receive from your local sales representative by providing additional information and problem solving assistance.

Services We Provide

Technical Consultation Consultation with our experts can be done on the phone, via video conference, or at your facility. Phone consultation is helpful in giving you additional information that is not available in our printed literature*. We can also advise you on more complex cleaning, microbial control, and validation issues. If your concerns involve several technical specialties, a video conference can be arranged to bring several experts to focus on the contamination prevention issues you face. In some cases, you can best be helped by having a technical service specialist visit your facility to conduct an audit, to assist in a start up, or to help you troubleshoot a complex problem. In all cases, our goal is to help you explore the various options available to meet your contamination prevention objectives.

PACE PACE (Process And Cleaner Evaluation) is a laboratory-based service in which we simulate your cleaning process in order to recommend a cleaning agent, cleaning agent concentration, and cleaning process conditions. This will enable you to move to a pilot or prequalification trial with a reasonable assurance of success. PACE evaluations are usually initiated through your local sales representative.
