Consultation with STERIS experts can be done on the phone, via video conference, or at the customer's facility. Our goal at STERIS is to help customers explore the various options available to meet their contamination prevention objectives.

Phone consultation is helpful in providing customers with additional information not available in STERIS printed literature. We can also advise you on more complex cleaning, microbial control, and validation issues.

If your concerns involve several technical specialties, a video conference can be arranged to bring several experts to focus on contamination prevention issues.

At the customer's request, a STERIS Technical Service Specialist can visit your facility to conduct an audit, to assist in a startup, or to help troubleshoot a complex situation. Contact your local STERIS Sales employee or e-mail us for more information.

Another service we offer is our Technical Service Sales Request program (TSSR). This is a laboratory based service in which STERIS analyzes instruments, water, wraps, and scale deposits to help determine the causes for spotting, staining, and corrosion of surgical instruments and process equipment. We offer recommendations on the products and procedures that will be needed to achieve the best possible cleaning results while protecting the integrity of the instrument and equipment materials. The TSSR program accesses STERIS resources and expertise in projects and analyses specifically focused towards meeting customers'needs. The analyses performed through the TSSR program help solve problems encountered in day to day cleaning and sterilization operations.

Customers use the TSSR program to assist them in:

• Troubleshooting the cause of instrument and equipment spotting, staining, and corrosion.
• Determining the quality of steam used in sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Determining the quality of water used in cleaning and processing instruments and equipment.
