With a sturdy construction which protects the glass media ampoule from premature breakages and easy to use activator, the final read is 24 hour incubation for steam and 48 hour incubation for EO.

  Verify Steam Integrator Strips

The Verify Steam Integrator Strips are for use in all steam sterilisation cycles and are correlated to biological indicator inactivation. The Chemical Integrators monitor all critical parameters of steam sterilisation (exposure time, temperature and steam quality). Placed in every sterilised pack, the Integrator confirms that all sterilisation conditions were met within the pack that would have inactivated a biological indicator.

  Verify Self-Contained Biological Indicators (SCBIs)

The Verify Self-Contained Biological Indicator System is designed to monitor steam and/or ethylene oxide (EO) sterilisation processes. Each Verify SCBI consists of a plastic cap and vial containing a disc carrying Geobacillus stearothermophilus (steam) (GST) and Bacillus atrophaeus (EO) (BA) spores and an ampule of bacterial culture medium combined with a pH indicator. In addition, these biological indicators are available in single species E6 populations. A colour change from blue to yellow after activation and incubation gives unmistakable evidence of microbial growth. The chemical process indicator printed on each Verify SCBI vial label shows that minimal process parameters were attained. Each lot of Verify SCBIs is produced under tightly controlled conditions and thoroughly tested to ensure compliance with STERISs strict quality requirements.

  Verify Process Challenge Devices

Verify Process Challenge Devices are available in both ethylene oxide (EO) and steam test packs. Process challenge devices are critical in simulating worst-case conditions when performing cycle development. The Verify EO and Steam Test Packs were developed to represent a greater resistance than the AAMI 16 towel biological test pack. The Verify Test Packs utilise the Verify SCBIs as well as a chemical indicator or record card. Each box includes 20 test packs and 5 controls.

Spordex and Spordi Strips and Discs

Spordex and Spordi Strips and Discs are specifically designed for determining the effectiveness of steam, ethylene oxide (EO), dry heat, or vaporised hydrogen peroxide decontamination procedures. Each strip and disc is produced from a special filter paper or polymer substrate inoculated with bacterial spores. Biological Indicators with known resistances and spore populations ensure consistent sterility monitoring. Spordex Strips and Discs are available with either Bacillus atrophaeus (BA) for ethylene oxide or dry heat cycles, or Geobacillus stearothermophilus (GST) for saturated steam or vaporised hydrogen peroxide cycles. Spordi Strips and Discs are inoculated with both B.atrophaeus and G. stearothermophilus. This minimises stocking problems because they can be used to check the efficacy of steam, EO and dry heat sterilisers. Individual Spordex and Spordi Strips are sealed in clearly identified sterilisable glassine packages.

  Spordex Suspensions

Spordex Suspensions contain bacterial spores in a liquid suspension. It is manufactured to meet the same rigorous standards as Spordex/ Spordi Strips and Discs and contains no extraneous contamination that could affect performance. A certificate of analysis containing population and D-value is furnished with each lot. The suspension is available with spores of Bacillus atrophaeus (BA) for ethylene oxide (EO) gas and dry heat cycles, or Geobacillus stearothermophilus (GST) for saturated steam or vaporised hydrogen peroxide cycles. Spordex Suspension is sold in 10 mL vials (approximately 100 product inoculations), each furnished in an easy-to-use kit including a 1.0 mL disposable sterile syringe and instruction pamphlet.

  Spordex Culture Media

Spordex Culture Media has been developed to be used with STERIS Spordex and Spordi Biological Indicator Strips and Discs.
