STERIS’s Operator Training Programs provide technical training on the proper care, use, and routine maintenance of STERIS products, and review of parameters critical to effective operation.
SYSTEM 1® Sterile Processing System
Purpose: The two-day SYSTEM 1 Operator Training Program is designed to:Eligibility: The SYSTEM 1 Operator Training Program is available to anyone who is operating the SYSTEM 1 Sterile Processor. Participation can be scheduled with specific dates subject to availability. The classes are limited to 12 participants per session based on a first come, first served basis.
Continuing Education: STERIS Corporation (OH-202) is approved as a provider of continuing education by the Michigan Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (OBN-001-91). Who should attend: The SYSTEM 1 Operator Training Program takes a "train the trainer" approach. The program should be attended by Nurses and those persons who will operate the Processor and take responsibility for training others on its safe and optimal use.
What is Included: The two-day SYSTEM 1 Operator Training Program includes instructor-led, comprehensive hands-on training, program materials and two catered lunches.
Costs/Fees: The participant is responsible for fees associated with travel, lodging, ground transportation and evening meals.
Arrangements: The participant is responsible for making their own travel, hotel and ground transportation arrangements. Suggested hotel and ground transportation are noted on the registration form.
Note: Attendees must arrive the evening before class and depart for home no earlier than 5:00 p.m. on the last day of class.
