John Fowler serves as Vice President for STERIS

John has 17 years of varied leadership experience
with both General Electric and STERIS Corporation.
He has over 11 years of healthcare experience in
service leadership, equipment sales, information
technology and corporate accounts. John has extensive
experience in leading global teams, outsourcing operations,
service operations and leading professional service
teams.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical
Engineering from Michigan Technological University.

A. Duckett, Director, Strategic Initiatives
Mike Duckett serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives
for SterilTek, Inc., a wholly owned professional
services subsidiary of STERIS Corporation. SterilTek
provides sterile processing workflow and growth solutions
to healthcare providers.
Mike has twenty years of experience in the healthcare
industry. He began at the American Sterilizer Company
(now STERIS) where he held various technical, engineering
and management positions focused on product development
and support. His previous roles with STERIS Corporation
also include serving as vice president of product
marketing and vice president of Field Services.
Mike has a degree in electrical engineering and
is a perpetual student of the healthcare business.
He also holds multiple patents for medical devices.
He has served on numerous committees and supported
projects for the Association for the Advancement
of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and the U.S. Government’s
Battle Lab Group. Mike has provided formal presentations
for the International Association of Healthcare Central
Service Material Managers (IAHCSMM), the Association
of Field Service Managers (AFSM), INTERLOG, an aftermarket
product support and service parts logistics group,
and numerous local organizations.

John
Kimsey, Director Professional Services, SterilTek
John Kimsey serves asdirector of professional services
for SterilTek, Inc., a wholly owned professional
services subsidiary of STERIS Corporation. SterilTek
provides process improvement, strategic analysis,
clinical assessment, consolidation, and management
services consulting to healthcare providers. John
oversees SterilTek’s consulting work with hospitals
nationwide to improve their operating room and support
operations such as central services, materials management,
and patient flow.
John has over 20 years of professional consulting
experience in the healthcare, service and manufacturing
industries. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies
such as GE and Standard Products, as well as regional
and local corporations in various capacities. John
has led efforts in process improvement, capacity
planning, quality improvement, organizational development,
cultural change, operational consolidation, financial
analysis, management systems, and overall financial
and operational improvement.
Since joining SterilTek, John has led consulting
projects and worked with hospitals across the nation
in developing strategic plans for Central Service
operations, designing and implementing process improvement
projects for sterile processing departments, managed
CS consolidation projects, led the construction and
implementation of off-site reprocessing centers,
performed interim management duties, and completed
numerous sterile processing assessments.
John’s current duties include overseeing the
daily operational functions of SterilTek’s
consulting services, ensuring quality throughout
the SterilTek organization, and working with hospital
management staff in identifying their operational
needs and strategic direction.

Consultants Jim Barton
Jim Barton is director of operations and senior
professional consultant for SterilTek, Inc., a wholly
owned professional services subsidiary of STERIS
Corporation. SterilTek provides sterile processing
workflow and growth solutions to healthcare providers.
Jim has 33 years of healthcare experience in equipment
sales and the design and development of surgical
and central services departments. He has successfully
designed and supported the building of a number of
off-site surgical instrument reprocessing facilities.
He has been recognized by the American Institute
of Architecture (AIA/AHA) for work done with graduate
fellowships and student design Charrettes, a teaching
and learning program for future healthcare architects.
He has served on the AIA, Academy of Healthcare Architecture
Graduate Fellowship Student Charrette and Vendor
Advisory committees.

Cory S. Nestman is a professional consultant for

to healthcare providers. Cory works with hospitals
nationwide improving their operating room and support
operations such as central services (CS), materials
management and perioperative services.
Cory is involved in projects that include clinical
assessment, process improvement, capacity planning,
strategic planning, cultural change, operational
improvement, management solutions and training.
Cory has 20 years of experience in healthcare sterile
processing and supply distribution, which includes
technical training, staff development and CS management.
Cory is a Purdue University Accredited Certified
Educator and is a nationally recognized expert on
sterile processing operations. She has published
in her field and presented at educational programs
sponsored by professional organizations such as the
International Association of Healthcare Central Service
Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) and Association for
Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology
(APIC).

Dan Johnson
Dan Johnson is a senior professional services consultant
for SterilTek Inc., a wholly owned professional services
subsidiary of STERIS Corporation. SterilTek provides
sterile processing workflow and growth solutions
to healthcare providers. He works with hospitals
nationwide to improve their CS operations and support
OR growth.
Dan has more than eleven years of consulting experience
in healthcare and other industries. His skills include
areas such as Lean Process facilitation, process
design, capacity planning, management training and
organizational development. He is certified in Production
and Inventory Control, APICS, and
holds a Masters degree in Operation Management from
the University of Arkansas.

Mark Brewer serves as a professional consultant
and as a Nashville site manager for SterilTek, Inc.,
a wholly owned professional services subsidiary of
STERIS Corporation. SterilTek provides sterile processing
workflow and growth solutions to healthcare providers.
Mark has over 30 years experience in healthcare.
Mark has practiced as a registered nurse first assistant,
as a circulator, and as a scrub nurse. He holds an
Associates of Science degree in Nursing from Belmont
University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human
Resource Management from Trevecca Nazarene University.
In addition to these degrees, Mark holds a certification
in Perioperative Nursing and is licensed as a contractor
for both residential and commercial construction.

Terry Jackson serves as a professional service
consultant for SterilTek, Inc., a wholly owned professional
services subsidiary of STERIS Corporation. SterilTek
provides sterile processing workflow and growth solutions
to healthcare providers.
Terry has over 30 years of healthcare experience.
He began his career in healthcare as a licensed practical
nurse working in intensive care, orthopedics and
pediatrics. For 20 years, however, his focus has
been in the sterile processing area. Terry has managed
the central services departments at two Level One
trauma centers and holds certifications in central
service as a technician and as a manager. Terry’s
experience covers all CS areas including staff training
and education, developing relationships between the
OR services and Central Service, meeting customer
quality and service requirements, quality management
and assurance within processing, staff management,
equipment operation, and budgetary management.
Terry has published several papers on central service
and earned his Fellowship in May 2004. Terry has
served as the chairman of an integral committee of
the International Association of Healthcare Central
Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM), and is active
in his local chapter.

Ashley has worked in healthcare for seven years. The past five years she has focused on change management and patient flow throughout the hospital. She has worked with hospitals across the nation to improve healthcare operations and the quality of care provided overall. Ashley has a BS in Health Services Administration and is a member of ACHE, ACMPE, MGMA, NAHQ, FAHQ and NAFE.

Michele McKinley serves as a Professional Services
Consultant for SterilTek, Inc., a wholly owned professional
services subsidiary of STERIS Corporation. SterilTek
provides sterile processing workflow and growth solutions
to healthcare providers.
Michele has been in healthcare for 27 years. She
is a licensed vocational nurse and has also been
trained as an operating room technician. She has
worked as a materials coordinator for the operating
room (OR) and was responsible for OR purchasing,
inventory control, capital budget, charge master,
maintenance and clean-up of OR supply inventory lists,
instrument tray lists and preference cards.
Michele has lead effective team building and process
improvement efforts in total CS reorganization and
improvement as well as specific areas of JCAHO and
state mandated inspections, flash sterilization reduction,
loaner tray programs and tray reorganization. Michele
has been able to show a flash reduction by percent
of patients impacted from 73% to 15%. Michele currently
resides outside of Los Angeles.
